 Our History

ScripNet was founded in 1997 specifically to address the needs of workers' compensation payors. Our founder, Dennis Sponer was employed as in-house counsel for a Las Vegas based Managed Care Organization. These companies, at the time, had a contract to service the Nevada Industrial Insurance System, formally known as Nevada State Fund for workers' compensation.  ScripNet was formed specifically to meet the needs of these companies.

* Injured workers were being forced to pay cash out-of-pocket for their meds.

* Case managers were inundated with telephone calls from pharmacies.

* Data entry department was overloaded with paper pharmacy bills.

On July 4, 1997, we went live with our first electronically adjudicated prescription. Since that day, the Nevada State Fund ceased to exist, as did the managed care organization. ScripNet has continued to grow exponentially, first throughout Nevada, and later, nationally. We now have clients from Honolulu to Philadelphia and most places in between.

ScripNet has been ranked in 2002, 2003, and 2004 by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing privately held companies in the Nation. Our ranking in 2004 was 22nd with an astounding average annual growth of 854%!

ScripNet has always stayed focused on its core competency: workers' compensation pharmacy benefit management. We do not handle group health business, group health contracts, or have any interest in group health.  We build our programs, processes, and pharmacy contracts. Our entire company has been built specifically for workers' compensation. ScripNet is the most focused workers' compensation pharmacy program in the market.
