ScripNet's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee will assist our
clients in the development of a custom formulary based upon the
client's claims history and workers' compensation experience.
Typically, clients start with a review of ScripNet's standard formulary
and customize it from there.
ScripNet requires that its network pharmacies use every effort to
supply generic drugs (if commercially available and consistent with the
Retail or Mail Order Pharmacist's professional judgment and state and
federal law). In states with mandatory generic laws, if the prescribing
provider does not indicate "Dispense as Written" or "Medically
Necessary" on the prescription, and the drug is not contained on the
state's Negative Formulary list and the covered claimant requests the
brand name drug product, then the covered claimant can be required to
pay the difference between the retail cost of the brand name drug and
the generic that could have been dispensed.
