ScripNet Welcomes Caterino as Director of Western Region Sales

ScripNet is very happy to announce the addition of Karen Caterino as Director of Sales for ScripNet’s Western Region, including the Mountain and Pacific Regions and Texas. Karen most recently managed the State of Nevada’s Risk Management Division, including: workers’ compensation, property, fleet, fidelity, aviation and commercial liability programs. At the State of Nevada, Karen was instrumental in bringing innovative approaches to cost containment, including an early intervention program that addressed the problem of acute and chronic pain, narcotics abuse and invasive surgeries.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Karen’s caliber and experience join our sales management team,” said Gary Daly, Vice President of Sales at ScripNet. “Having been on the client side of the desk, Karen can easily relate to customer challenges and configure ScripNet solutions that will help them contain costs and improve patient outcomes.”

“What is exciting for me is the ability to leverage my knowledge and experience in risk management and cost containment solutions to the benefit of ScripNet’s current and prospective customers,” said Karen Caterino. “Having worked with ScripNet at the State of Nevada, I have seen first-hand how they can provide customers with highly flexible and unique solutions to pharmacy cost containment in workers’ compensation, supported by clinical utilization reviews, customized formularies, account management, help desk, online access and reporting.”

Karen is presenting a paper on “Effective Work Comp Cost Containment Solutions” at PRIMA on June 4 in Nashville and “Best Practices in Successful Workers’ Compensation Evidence Based Claims Management” on July 18 at SEAK in Cape Cod. Karen was recently quoted in the December 19, 2011 Risk & Insurance article ‘Opioids in Workers’ Comp Take Center Stage at (NWC) Conference.  Read that article here. www.riskandinsurance.com/story.jsp?storyId=533344083.
