A. Yes. ScripNet’s holds all workers’ compensation specific contracts directly with retail and independent pharmacies in its network across the nation.
Q. Will ScripNet recruit additional pharmacies to add to the network, specifically in rural areas? If so, in what time frame can this be accomplished?
A. Yes. ScripNet recruits additional pharmacies to add to the network, including independent pharmacies in rural areas in as little as 24 hours. More than half of our national pharmacy contracts are with independent pharmacies.
Q. How does ScripNet handle nominations of new pharmacies?
A. Our customers can nominate pharmacies at any time to the ScripNet pharmacy network, which can be added to our network in as little as 24 hours by our Network Compliance Team. On a daily basis the ScripNet Provider Relations Department contracts with new pharmacies and services our existing pharmacy partners, so that our network is constantly growing.
Q. Approximately what percentage of ScripNet’s pharmacy network is online, and how do you handle pharmacies that are not online?
A. 100%. ScripNet provides an on-line data link with all pharmacies in its network to convey timely information on client plan design, worker eligibility, pricing and other safety checks and edits prior to dispensing. In addition, The ScripNet Provider Relations Team contacts pharmacies immediately upon request or notification that an injured worker is using a non-network pharmacy.
Q. Does ScripNet’s pharmacy program include point-of-sale alerts?
A. Yes. In addition, our clients have the ability to customize the point-of-sale system alerts to their unique needs.
Q. Is ScripNet’s workers’ compensation formulary customizable?
A. Yes. ScripNet has developed a customized workers’ compensation specific drug formulary. The ScripNet formulary represents our experience in pharmacy benefit management across a broad range of clients. The goal of ScripNet’s drug formulary is to enhance our ability to provide optimal cost effective (and appropriate) drug therapy for claimants. This formulary can be customized to meet our clients’ needs.
Q. Does ScripNet have the capability to receive and load eligibility data electronically?
A. Yes. ScripNet has electronic interfaces for claimant eligibility, invoicing and paper bill exchange with its clients. All APIs (Application Programming Interface) with ScripNet are built in-house by our team of developers to directly interface with our clients’ systems.
Q. Is ScripNet a SAS 70 audited service organization?
A. Yes. ScripNet is a SAS 70 Type II audited service organization. Completion of the SAS 70 Type II audit indicates ScripNet’s processes, procedures, and controls have been formally examined, evaluated, and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm. ScripNet believes in maintaining the highest level of financial and operational controls as evidenced within its annual financial and SAS 70 audit reports.
Q. Does ScripNet have a disaster recovery plan?
A. Yes. ScripNet has a comprehensive disaster recovery business continuity plan in place at all times to address any interruption of services as well as securing the safeguards of its vital records. The plan covers critical functions in the event of a business interruption.
